This bill prohibits municipalities from adopting ordinances that prohibit people from receiving natural gas services or supplies from public utilities. CPAC supports all forms of energy, supports efforts to prevent the government from discriminating against one of these forms, and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on January 24, 2023 by a vote of 52-47 but the bill stalled in the Senate.
