Vote Description

This bill prohibits employers from seeking out information concerning the salary history of a prospective employee. It also prevents them from determining a prospective employee’s wages based on their salary history. CPAC opposes efforts to institute more mandates on the employee hiring process and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 3, 2023 by a vote of 20-18 but the bill stalled in the House.
