SB 1167
Waging War on the Firearms Industry.
2023 - Virginia Senate
Vote Description

This bill creates certain ill-defined “standards of conduct” that a firearms industry member must follow when engaged in the sale of a weapon. It then allows individuals to initiate lawsuits against entities that do not follow these standards. CPAC opposes the imposition of vague and ill-defined regulations on members of the firearms industry and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on January 26, 2023 by a vote of 21-19 but the bill stalled in the House.
