This bill allows localities to require that a certain number of EV charging stations be created on residential properties. CPAC opposes unnecessary building mandates, the likes of which drive up construction and housing costs, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 2, 2023 by a vote of 22-18 but the bill stalled in the House.
