This bill prohibits government employees and agencies from using TikTok, WeChat, or any other service offered by the Chinese company ByteDance on sensitive devices. CPAC supports appropriate efforts to increase national security and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 12, 2023 by a vote of 27-13 and the bill later became law.
