This bill creates the Electric Vehicle Rural Infrastructure Program and Fund. Under this program, developers may collectively receive $25,000,000 in grants per year in order to help them finance the cost of installing EV charging stations. CPAC supports all forms of energy, does not believe that the government should support one form of energy over another, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 7, 2023 by a vote of 40-0 but the bill stalled in the House.
