This bill creates the Fisheries Innovation for Sustainable Harvest Fund to promote the growth and development of the state’s seafood economy. CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to help pay for the expenses of fisheries and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 8, 2024, by a vote of 39-1, and the bill later became law.
