S 102
Ramping Up the Government’s Efforts to Micromanage the Workplace.
2023 - Vermont Senate
Vote Description

This bill prohibits employers from firing employees unless they have “good cause” to do so. It also prohibits employers from firing employees for exercising their freedom of speech. CPAC believes that the implementation of these measures would encourage a mountain of frivolous litigation against businesses and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 30, 2023 by a vote of 23-7 but the bill did not progress in the House.
