This bill limits rent increases to 7 percent per year. The bill also creates various limits on move-in fees and security deposits. CPAC supports the rights of property owners to properly steward their land and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on February 13, 2024 by a vote of 54-43 but the bill stalled in the Senate.
