This bill enacts several provisions regulating the use of plastic throughout the state. For example, it prohibits lodging establishments from providing customers with health or beauty products in small plastic containers. It also bans the sale of overwater structures containing non-enclosed expanded foam. CPAC opposes these types of regulations and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 8, 2023 by a vote of 37-11 and the bill later became law.
