This bill makes S2,000 available to people that report so-called "hate-crimes." CPAC opposes this despicable incentivization of people to wage war on ideologically different neighbors, believes that this measure will be used as a bludgeon against conservatives, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 26, 2024 by a vote of 19-10 and the bill later became law.
