This bill establishes a competitive geothermal exploration cost-share grant program, the likes of which will help offset the cost of exploring for locations to gather geothermal energy. CPAC supports all forms of energy, believes that the government should not favor one form of energy over another, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 5, 2024 by a vote of 49-0 and the bill later became law.
