This bill establishes a consultation process that must take place with local governments when the federal government or a nonprofit organization attempts to resettle refugees within a locality’s boundaries. CPAC supports this effort to improve the organization of the immigration process and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on February 22, 2024 by a vote of 62-35 but Governor Evers vetoed the bill.
