The earliest version of this bill contains various provisions restricting abortion. For example, it expands informed consent requirements and requires the Department of Health and Human Resources to provide enhanced information concerning abortion on its web page. CPAC believes abortion is always a human tragedy, supports efforts to diminish the practice, and supported this version of the bill. The House passed this version of the bill on March 10, 2023 by a vote of 81-13 and a substantially altered version of the bill later became law.
