HB 3036
Greatly Expanding the BUILD WV Act.
2023 - West Virginia Senate

Vote Description
This bill almost completely removes the limit on the number of districts that could possibly be designated as BUILD WV districts and increases the cap on the aggregate sum of approved costs for all projects covered under the program from $40,000,000 to $150,000,000. CPAC opposes the expansion of programs that involve the government in the housing industry and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 9, 2023 by a vote of 31-1 and the bill later became law.
