This bill requires the governor to, upon declaring that a public health emergency exists, rapidly convene the legislature such that it may concur as to whether or not such an emergency exists. CPAC supports efforts to prevent the abuse of emergency powers and supported this bill. The House failed to introduce this bill on February 14, 2024 by a vote of 27-34.
