The Kinskey (CPAC Lifetime Rating 76%) amendment to Wyoming’s budget bill strikes a provision from the bill that would have apportioned $40,000,000 to Wyoming’s Tomorrow Scholarship Endowment fund. This scholarship program gives funds to individuals over the age of 24 to help them pay for their higher education. CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to help pay for other people’s tuition and supported this amendment. The Senate passed this amendment on February 1, 2023 by a vote of 22-9.
