America’s Successful Strike did Nothing to Appease the Never-happy Left: Mercedes Schlapp on The Right Squad

Mercedes Schlapp, CPAC Senior Fellow and host of America Uncanceled, reported on the far left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-D) and CNN’s reaction to the successful strike authorized by President Trump. AOC accuses the President of acting unconstitutionally by, according to her and CNN, not notifying Congress for approval before the strikes. This, of course, is absurd as the President gave all Congressional leaders briefings before the strikes, and voting on the strikes would publicly broadcast the delicate operation.

AOC posted this statement on X, criticizing President Trump’s strikes on Iran, calling for his impeachment after calling the strikes unconstitutional: “The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers./ He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations./ It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.”

Schlapp reports on CNN’s claims that some Congressional Democrat leaders were excluded from briefings from the White House about the strike in an article named, “Trump administration briefed top Republicans before Iran strikes, but not some Democrats.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted on X, responding to the unfounded accusations aimed at the President: “This is Fake News./ The White House made bipartisan courtesy calls to Congressional Leadership and spoke to @SenSchumer before the strike./ @RepJeffries could not be reached until after, but he was briefed./ @CNN please retract.”
