CPAC Annual Gala: Mobilizing America's Conservatives in the Midterms and Beyond

The midterm election season has historic significance for the Republican Party this year with the future of America teetering in the balance. This year, those seats—those votes—matter more than ever before. What will it take to get Conservatives to the polls?
History gives us a sober warning. In 1954, Eisenhower lost 18 House seats and one Senate seat, dipping even further down in 1958 when 48 House seats and 13 Senate seats went out the window. In 1970, Nixon lost 12 valuable House seats. In 1982, Reagan lost 26 House seats, followed in 1986 by five more House seats and eight Senate seats. In 1990, George H. W. Bush lost eight House seats and one Senate seat. In 2002, George W. Bush briefly turned the tables, gaining eight House seats and two Senate seats, but the momentum collapsed in 2006 with the loss of 30 House seats and six Senate seats.
These numbers tell a simple story: when Conservatives get comfortable, Liberals seize power. And when Democrats seize power, they waste no time rewriting laws, perpetuating left-wing culture, and locking in their twisted vision of America’s future, which hardly upholds actual patriotic American values.
This moment feels epochal. If anything can wake up Conservative voters, it must be the knowledge that our absence at the ballot box is a gift of complacency to those who want to silence us.
That is why CPAC’s work is so critical right now. At the upcoming Annual Gala at Mar-a-Lago, leaders, donors, and voices of the movement are charting the path forward. Together, we are building the infrastructure, strategy, and resources necessary to mobilize Conservatives, the faithful base and the newly awakened, like never before. The gala is about ensuring that when November comes, every Conservative vote is cast and counted.
Losses incur when we fail to show up. The challenge of today is urgent. Tomorrow is in our hands, and we have the power to shape it—as long as we show up.
Our voices matter now more than ever. We will not be silenced; we are standing shoulder to shoulder, letting hope drive out despair. Join us at CPAC.org/maralago.
