CPAC leadership proudly stood alongside the Polish people this week for the inauguration of President Karol Nawrocki, an unwavering defender of and advocate for conservative values and individual freedom. CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp and Senior Fellow Mercedes Schlapp were honored guests in the United States' delegation at the historic ceremony. They addressed a crowd of patriots later in the day at a gala hosted by TV Republika, Poland’s leading media voice for faith, freedom, country, and truth. Nawrocki's victory in the Polish presidential election came just days after the inaugural CPAC Poland rallied patriots around their candidate.
“There’s a new kinship that Poland and America have together,” Matt Schlapp stated proudly. “Poland decided [on Nawrocki], with a few brave people and then thousands of wonderfully good-hearted people on the streets with their flag—and it just made me want to cry, because it reminds me of what happened in my own country, when people just took to the streets and said, ‘I won’t relinquish my country. I’m going to hold onto it.’”
Mercedes Schlapp's powerful, inspirational message declared that “President Trump is the people’s president in America — and now, here in Poland, you have the people’s president in President Nawrocki.” “We stand by your strength,” she closed with a rallying cry, “and as President Trump says, ‘Fight! Fight! Fight! Win! Win! Win!’
This historic moment marks a turning point in a worldwide conservative movement, united in courage, faith, and a mutual commitment to freedom. As Matt reminded us, quoting Saint John Paul: Be not afraid. “This is the moment when we have to grab our courage and do what God calls us to do.” The mission to save our civilization has just begun, and CPAC stands with the people of Poland.
