As Hungary gears up for its 2026 elections, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán delivered a fiery speech at CPAC Hungary, urging conservatives to seize the momentum from President Donald Trump’s recent re-election in the United States. Orbán framed the global conservative movement as a bulwark against liberal attacks and globalist policies, emphasizing the need to restore safety and sovereignty in Europe.

Orbán praised the resilience of conservatives worldwide, particularly President Trump, who he said has withstood relentless attacks from liberals and the media. “Just as President Trump’s example shows, European liberals and progressives would not endure half of what our leaders have faced,” Orbán declared. He accused the left of attempting to suppress the conservative “revolution and intellectual renewal” through censorship and misinformation, yet argued that these challenges have only strengthened conservative unity.

The Prime Minister also lauded CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp for his steadfast commitment to conservative principles despite fierce opposition. “Here is our friend, Matt Schlapp, the embodiment of perseverance. He has built a global brand from the ashes,” Orbán said, highlighting CPAC’s role in uniting conservatives from the U.S. and Hungary in their fight for freedom and sovereignty against mass migration and globalist agendas.

Orbán pointed to Trump’s first 100 days in office, during which the U.S. president has prioritized border security and significantly reduced illegal immigration. Calling Trump’s approach a “truth serum” for the Western world, Orbán urged European nations to follow suit. “You came illegally, go home,” he stated, echoing Trump’s hardline stance and advocating for stronger border policies in Hungary and beyond.

Orbán framed mass migration as a dual threat to both community safety and national sovereignty, accusing “transatlantic globalists” in Washington and Brussels of enabling criminals while making law-abiding citizens feel unsafe in their own homes. “European people do not feel safe in their own country, in their own city, on their own streets,” Orbán said. “They have become foreigners in places where they were at home 20 years ago. This is not integration; this is an organized population exchange.”

He argued that control over borders is a matter of sovereignty, questioning whether authority lies with the people or with globalist elites in Brussels. He called on conservative leaders at CPAC Hungary to return to their countries, win elections, and reclaim their nations from what he described as the “tyrannical rule of globalists.”

Orbán declared, “It is necessary to dismantle the American and Brussels liberal conspiracy, the transatlantic deep state. We must go home, and everyone must win their own election. After America, we Europeans will also take back our dreams!”
