Yitz Tendler and Julie Strauss Levin of our CPAC Center to Combat Antisemitism spearheaded an exclusive policy briefing held at the White House for more than 100 young Jewish Americans from across the United States this week.
Speakers included Sebastian Gorka (Senior Director for Counterterrorism), Harmeet Dhillon (Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights), Will Scharf (White House Staff Secretary), Pastor Paula White (White House Faith Office), and several other representatives of federal agencies. It was moderated by Jewish liaison to the White House Martin Marks. They outlined how the executive branch, especially the Department of Justice and Department of Education, are using all leverage they have to protect Jewish students and prosecute every single possible example of bias.
They also created new signage for workplaces so that Jewish workers know their rights if they are discriminated against.
Many of the participants were college students and they got to share their experiences from being targeted on their campuses.
