David and Jason Benham to Join CPAC Christian Persecution Summit

Twin brothers David and Jason Benham, former professional baseball players turned acclaimed entrepreneurs and bestselling authors, will speak at CPAC's Christian Persecution Summit on October 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the Terrace Theatre. 

The Benhams know firsthand that Christian persecution in America often hides in plain sight—wrapped in demands for “inclusion” that deliberately exclude anyone who holds fast to biblical truth. In 2014, HGTV canceled their reality show Flip It Forward—despite strong ratings—after far-left activist groups pressured the network to punish the brothers for their unapologetic Christian views on life and marriage. Faced with a clear ultimatum to renounce their faith or lose their platform, they chose faith, declaring, "If our faith cost us a reality show, then so be it." That stand ignited a national conversation about the price of being a Christian in a culture that celebrates every belief except the one that claims absolute truth.

The brothers’ fight didn’t stop at corporate boardrooms. In April 2020, David was arrested by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police for praying outside an abortion clinic, cited for violating COVID-19 gathering rules while the clinic itself remained fully operational. As officers placed him in handcuffs, David said on video, "This is wrong, and you know it," exposing selective enforcement that silenced prayer but protected abortion. Through their ministry Cities4Life, which offers peaceful, prayerful witness at clinics, the Benhams have endured the same targeted suppression faced by Christians worldwide. Their 2023 legal victory—winning $20,000 in attorney fees after Mecklenburg County admitted to violating their rights—proves that such persecution can be confronted and defeated.
