U.S Economy Adds 147,000 Jobs, Much Higher Than Expected, Unemployment Rate Unexpectedly Falls

Employers in the United States added 147,000 workers to their payrolls in June, the Department of Labor said Thursday, and the unemployment rate declined to 4.1 percent, defying predictions of labor market sluggishness following the implementation of President Trump’s tariffs.

Former acting Assistant Secretary for the Office of Nuclear Energy Ed McGinnis is a confirmed speaker at CPAC in DC 2025.  


McGinnis has a background in the energy industry as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy and Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Nuclear Energy Policy and Cooperation. He is now the CEO of Curio LV, which works to advance American’s energy sector as well as cancer research.
