Ben Shapiro, the host of the Ben Shapiro Show, reflects on the release of Edan Alexander, the last American hostage to be released from Hamas.

Shapiro thanks President Trump for helping to broker the hostage release through Steve Whitkoff, the United States Special Envoy to the Middle East. Shapiro says that he introduced the family to President Trump.

Shapiro shares a video capturing the moment Edan is reunited with his family. It is reported that Edan was tortured and kept in an inhumane environment as a hostage of Hamas, according to Shapiro. He says that Edan’s and other hostages' treatment is proof that Hamas should not have a role in the governance of the Gaza Strip now or after the end of the conflict.

Edan was seen holding a sign thanking President Trump for helping to broker his release.
