Gila Gamliel is the Israeli Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, a role she has held since March 2024. Gamliel has over two decades of experience in the Knesset, where she has held numerous high-level cabinet positions, including Minister of Intelligence (2023–2024), Minister of Environmental Protection (2020–2021), and Minister for Social Equality (2015–2020). As Science Minister, she has prioritized Israeli space exploration—securing NASA approval for the first Israeli female astronaut—and has positioned technology as a central front in the global struggle for security and innovation.
