CPAC Senior Fellow Mercedes Schlapp recently joined The Right Squad to talk about the media's unwillingness to cover Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's investigation into the Obama Administration's involvement in spreading the "Russia hoax." This hoax involved leftist media falsely accusing Trump of collaborating with Russia to influence the 2016 election, aiming to delegitimize his presidency.

Drawing comparisons to the leftist media's reluctance to cover the Hunter Biden Laptop scandal, Schlapp contended that their unwillingness to report on Gabbard's recent investigation into the Obama Administration highlights their inherent bias. Gabbard recently unveiled her ongoing investigation, alleging that President Obama was actively undermining Trump during the 2016 election by spreading falsehoods about the Trump-Russia collusion hoax. A clip is shown of a CNN reporter dismissing the idea that multiple government agencies, including the White House, were conspiring to deceive about Trump as absurd. Schlapp countered, "We know that there was political leadership driving this 'how do we take Donald Trump down' agenda, creating chaos in the new White House." After it became widely accepted that there was no Russian collusion, it is clear there was a deliberate effort from the highest levels of government to promote this hoax. Schlapp further stated that this was a direct attempt by the leftist media establishment to undermine President Trump's authority and distract from meaningful issues.
