Pastor John K. Amanchukwu Sr. will speak at CPAC's Christian Persecution Summit on October 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the Terrace Theatre, bringing a vital perspective on the persecution of Christians in America who dare to defend biblical values in the public square.
A preacher, author, and activist whose passion for the next generation has driven his nationwide ministry, Amanchukwu holds a master's degree in Christian ministry from Liberty University and has led ministries reaching out to youth and young adults for many years. He currently serves as a staff contributor with TPUSA Faith and as First Assistant and Youth & Young Adult Pastor at the Upper Room Church of God in Christ in Wake Forest, North Carolina, where he lives with his wife and their three children.
Amanchukwu is no stranger to persecution. On October 2, 2024, he was arrested and handcuffed at a Wake County school board meeting for demanding accountability for board members who violated state law by forcing a fifteen-year-old student to read sexually explicit material in class. His arrest, which occurred while parents gave him a standing ovation, exemplifies the growing hostility Christians face in American academic institutions.
Amanchukwu's advocacy has consistently resulted in censorship and suppression. In February 2024, he was escorted out by police from an Old Bridge, New Jersey, school board meeting after officials cut his microphone for quoting the Bible and criticizing gender ideology. Over the past two years, he has spoken before two dozen school boards in fifteen states, been removed from meetings approximately five times, and had his microphone cut repeatedly for reading aloud from books these same boards approve for children. His viral speeches have garnered over 300 million views, demonstrating the hunger Americans have for leaders willing to confront institutional hostility toward Christians. His latest works include the documentary film "22 Words: Exposing the Loss of Decency in American Schools" and "Cyclone 400," a battle plan to recruit, train, and deploy advocates to protect children and reclaim educational institutions.
At the Summit, attendees will gain critical insights from Pastor John K. Amanchukwu Sr. into the domestic persecution Christians face when defending faith and family in public forums.
