Rev. Pat Mahoney to Join CPAC Christian Persecution Summit

Reverend Patrick Mahoney, an internationally known ordained minister in the Reformed Presbyterian Church, will speak at CPAC's Christian Persecution Summit on October 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the Terrace Theatre.

He brings four decades of standing as a fierce advocate for the struggling and oppressed, traveling across America and around the world to speak out against religious persecution. Mahoney moved to Washington, D.C. in 1992 to assume the position as Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, a national ministry challenging Christians to live their faith out in the public square, and established Church on the Hill in 2015. His leadership positions him uniquely to address the Summit's urgent focus on protecting vulnerable Christian communities globally.

Mahoney routinely confronts threats against Christian communities directly, often at personal cost. He has led persistent prayer vigils and protests for imprisoned American Pastor Saeed Abedini in front of the Iranian Interest Section and the White House, drawing the support of multiple congressmen and Senator Ted Cruz. His activism has also drawn government scrutiny; FBI agents, at the behest of the Obama Administration, came to his home to question him and "gather intelligence" about his laying roses and holding a prayer vigil at the Chinese Embassy on the 20th Anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre.

Mahoney and other speakers at the summit are united by their shared commitment to faith, family, and freedom, declaring that standing with persecuted Christians is about standing for justice, for human dignity, and for the foundational principles upon which our nation was built. Attendees at the Summit will learn from leaders whose activism has shaped national conversations and whose willingness to face arrest, government questioning, and public opposition demonstrates the courage required to defend the persecuted.
