U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright appeared on Newsline with Bianca de la Garza and discussed the Trump Administration’s initiative to “reindustrialize America,” aimed at revitalizing the American manufacturing industry and creating jobs.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump spoke at the Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit at Carnegie Mellon University, announcing a $70 billion privately funded investment in artificial intelligence and energy. Wright emphasized the Administration’s commitment to energy independence and job creation, noting that this initiative will drive innovation in energy and the AI research and development industry, bringing economic opportunities back to the U.S.
Wright highlighted the symbolic importance of hosting the summit in Pennsylvania, a state historically known as an industrial hub. He stated that President Trump aims to restore Pennsylvania as “the industrial hub of America’s future.”
De la Garza underscored how strong leadership can transform a state through industrial growth. Wright noted that, for the past two decades, American industries have increasingly moved overseas. However, he affirmed that President Trump is dedicated to reversing this trend. “We want to reindustrialize America, bringing those jobs, investments, and opportunities back to the United States, especially here in Pennsylvania,” Wright said.
