Ben Sisney, Senior Counsel for Litigation & Public Policy at the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), will speak at CPAC's Christian Persecution Summit on October 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Terrace Theatre. Leading the ACLJ’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) practice, he exposes government misconduct that undermines religious liberty and First Amendment rights—issues that resonate deeply with the global fight against Christian persecution.
An experienced litigator in federal and state courts and former judicial law clerk, Sisney has overseen more than 500 FOIA requests and lawsuits since 2017, compelling transparency on faith-based policy and free speech. His efforts have uncovered agency bias and inconsistencies in handling religious organizations, amid record FOIA backlogs of 200,000 pending requests in 2023 and public trust in government at a historic low of just 20%.
Through strategic litigation and public filings, Sisney drives accountability that not only strengthens constitutional protections at home but also informs advocacy against regimes abroad that silence Christian voices through censorship, surveillance, and legal oppression.
At the Summit, Sisney will demonstrate how legal transparency and aggressive advocacy can dismantle barriers to justice for persecuted believers worldwide.
