The State of California is in Violation of Title IX for not Enforcing Ban on Transgender Athletes from Female Sports: The Ben Shapiro Show

Ben Shapiro, host of The Ben Shapiro Show, reported on US Secretary of Education Linda McMahon finding the state of California in violation of Title IX for not enforcing President Trump’s Executive Order banning transgender athletes from women's sports. 

McMahon announced in an interview that the state of California and the Interscholastic Sports Federation there are in violation of Title IX and that the Department of Education will be taking steps to ensure the President’s Executive Order is enforced. 

McMahon said that California must comply, or there will be legal action taken against the state for the Title IX violation. “California has 10 days to comply or face Department of Justice referral.”, said McMahon.

Shapiro supports the actions being taken by McMahon, saying that this comes after the California Department of Education publicly announced it would ignore the Federal government’s mandate that there should not be transgender athletes unfairly competing in women's sports. “Well, if you ignore the federal government, this is precisely what happens.”, said Shapiro. 

Shapiro said this shows California Governor Gavin Newsom is “not a particularly honest person”, pointing to a recent interview between Charlie Kirk and Newsom, whereby he agreed that boys should not be racing against girls as it is a matter of fairness. Shapiro said that Newsom says what sounds good for an interview, but it is never acted on in policy. Education systems should ensure a fair, nurturing environment for the young, not appease gender ideology.
