Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears energized grassroots voters at the CPAC Latino Summit in Sterling, Virginia, this weekend, presenting herself as a champion of conservative values that align with the Latino community's commitment to faith, family, and freedom.
The event celebrated the voice of Latino conservatives in the Commonwealth and showcased Sears as a leader who embodies the resilience and opportunity that resonate deeply with Latino families. As the Republican gubernatorial candidate, Sears emphasized the natural partnership between her conservative vision and the traditional values that drive Latino voters to engage in grassroots mobilization.
Sears voiced frustration over the Democrats' redistricting special session, telling the audience that "Virginia cannot afford Abigail Spanberger" and "It's going to be our tax money that's being used against us because we're going to be in session Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and the taxpayers of Virginia are going to have to pay for every single one of us to come back. That's a terrible thing". Her criticism highlighted how the special session would not only waste taxpayer dollars but also force her off the campaign trail during the crucial final days before the election.
Sears' criticism of state Democrats extended to the broader pattern of expensive far-left programs that devalue parental control and prioritize radical ideological agendas over the well-being of Virginia's children. Earle-Sears made clear that these costly Democrat initiatives represent an assault on the fundamental rights of parents to direct their children's education and upbringing, warning that her opponent's election would accelerate the left's dangerous agenda. Sears added that not only do Democrats want to push radical gender ideology on children, but want to cause them harm, with Democrat Attorney General candidate Jay Jones advocating for the murder of a fellow assemblyman's children and Democrat leadership refusing to disavow the candidate. Sears stressed that the future of Virginia's children is in jeopardy in this upcoming election, with left-wing violence and gender ideology indoctrination on the ballot.
The historic CPAC Latino Summit brought together key Republican leaders in the state, including Governor Glenn Youngkin, Attorney General Jason Miyares, and Lieutenant Governor candidate John Reid, demonstrating the united conservative front heading into the pivotal election. Sears' appearance at the Latino Summit reinforced her campaign's focus on building a broad coalition of voters who share conservative principles and reject the progressive policies that would undermine parental rights, expand government overreach, and threaten Virginia's economic prosperity. With grassroots energy building across diverse communities, Sears is the candidate who will unite and protect Virginia families and continue the conservative momentum established under the Youngkin administration.
