CPAC’s Iranians in Exile Coalition, in partnership with United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), is standing on the frontlines of one of the most urgent freedom fights in the world today. The Iranian regime is the globe’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, funding Hezbollah, fueling regional militias, and threatening U.S. allies. But it’s not just foreign policy at stake. Iran’s radical regime is actively hostile to U.S. interests, targeting Americans and plotting assassinations on our soil. This regime brutalizes its people, silencing dissent, executing protestors, crushing women’s rights, and violating religious freedoms. And as Iran tries to rebuild its nuclear and military programs, the stakes grow higher by the day.
On June 22, in a bold move dubbed Operation Midnight Hammer, the United States launched a joint Air Force and Navy strike on three of Iran’s top nuclear facilities, Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The mission was a resounding success. According to satellite images, statements from military leaders, and analysis from top intelligence officials, Iran’s nuclear program has been dealt a devastating blow. From 30,000-pound bunker busters at Fordow to cruise missiles at Isfahan, the campaign left critical infrastructure buried under mountains of rubble. “Obliteration is an accurate term,” said President Trump. Israeli and U.S. officials confirmed that the attacks have set Iran’s nuclear ambitions back by years.
But let’s be clear: while Iran’s nuclear program is in tatters, the threat is far from over. As Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned, “Everything underneath that mountain is in bad shape… but there’s no way Iran comes to the table unless we keep the pressure on.” The regime in Tehran is wounded, not defeated. It still oppresses its people, finances terrorism, and seeks every possible avenue to regain power. That’s why the mission of CPAC’s Iranians in Exile Coalition remains as urgent as ever. America must remain resolute, not just with bombs, but with economic, diplomatic, and ideological force.
We must continue to expose Iran’s covert networks, block its access to nuclear material, and support the brave dissidents and exiles fighting for a free Iran. This is not a moment to let our guard down; it’s a moment to double down. The success of Midnight Hammer proves what American strength can achieve. Now, with the Iranian regime reeling, it’s time to press forward. The Iranian people are rising. So must we.
