CPAC supports efforts to secure the Southern border of the US and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 4, 2023 by a vote of 16-14 but the bill was vetoed by Governor Hobbs. This bill grows another social-service bureaucracy and risks long-term dependency instead of prioritizing security, self-reliance, and taxpayers.
