Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) is facing allegations of tax fraud and ethics violations, as discussed by John Stubbins, host of Indivisible with John Stubbins and investigative journalist, alongside host Mercedes Schlapp on America UnCanceled.
Stubbins has filed an ethics complaint claiming that Schiff engaged in fraud and perjury by listing properties in both California and Maryland as his primary residence from 2002 to 2020, allegedly violating state and federal laws to secure multiple tax exemptions. The complaint accuses Schiff of theft, exploiting tax exemptions, voter fraud, and mortgage fraud in both states. This fraud is a hallmark of the Democratic party as PAC ActBlue alledged has been involved in widespread tax and mortgage fraud with connections to CCP China.
According to Schlapp, Schiff designated his Maryland property as his primary residence while maintaining a modest one-bedroom apartment in Burbank, California. Stubbins alleges that this arrangement allowed Schiff to gain significant financial benefits, raising concerns about his eligibility to represent a state where he does not have a primary residence.
Stubbins says he formally submitted the complaint to Congress, but it was overlooked following the busy 2024 election cycle. He attributes Schiff’s Senate candidacy to a loss of influence after being censured in the House of Representatives: “He lost all the power he had in the House, that's why he ran for Senate.”
Stubbins expressed optimism about pursuing legal action with the Department of Justice under President Trump’s reelection, citing Trump’s campaign promise to combat government corruption, including targeting Schiff. He described the legal process as fraught with obstacles, comparing it to corruption seen in less transparent nations. “Who are we going to be? Are we going to be the United States of America that follows the Constitution, or are we going to be something else?” Stubbins asked.
The discussion also addressed concerns about ActBlue, a Democratic fundraising platform that has processed trillions of dollars for candidates. Stubbins reported widespread issues, including mortgage fraud and unauthorized donor sign-ups, with numerous unverified donations peaking during the election cycle.
Stubbins further alleged that significant mortgage payments were directed to a single P.O. Box in Arizona, with billions in foreign funds potentially involved. He claimed these issues implicate high-level officials in child and human trafficking, tax fraud, and money laundering. “There are many people working in Washington now that are going to be subject to this investigation,” said Stubbins.
Stubbins linked the recent Los Angeles riots to these suspicious overseas transactions, suggesting possible involvement by the Chinese Communist Party in funding far-left organizations. He described Democratic-run cities as controlled by “far-left radicals” complicit in the violence, worsened by mass migration, and unidentified actors behind the riots.
Schlapp stressed the urgency of addressing these issues. “It should be a priority for the Department of Justice" to investigate these corrupt public officials and organizations that lead to fraud, violence, and mass migration.
