In this episode of America UnCanceled, Mercedes Schlapp sat down with KT McFarland, former Deputy National Security Advisor under President Trump and a CPAC Board member, to examine the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war and President Trump’s approach to securing peace.
McFarland highlights Trump’s strategy of unrelenting pressure, emphasizing that “the pressure he’s going to bring on Zelensky, on the Europeans, and on Putin, is going to be unrelenting.” She points to Trump’s untarnished record of diplomacy: “Why is President Trump so good at this? How has he managed to get six peace agreements—long-standing peace agreements—I mean, these countries have been fighting each other for decades!”
Schlapp notes the fake-news media’s biased coverage of the recent Alaska summit, where outlets claimed Russian President Vladimir Putin was “winning” the peace deal discussions. Shedding light on the truth, McFarland outlines Trump’s disciplined negotiation style, keeping his strategy close while responding appropriately to world leaders. “President Biden enabled this war,” McFarland states, “they couldn’t even get near a peace deal. Putin was running the plays.” Biden’s hesitancy to act presents a stark contrast to Trump’s ability to command worldwide respect and establish peace without sacrificing U.S. strength.
McFarland describes Trump as “Reagan 2.0,” saying he’s offering “cars not chaos, technology not terrorism,” by leveraging America’s economic strength to restore stability on not only the Russia-Ukraine front, but the world stage.
