Radio host Larry O’Connor joined Mercedes Schlapp for this edition of Schlapp Down to react to President Trump’s Cabinet picks, including the Matt Gaetz drama, the challenges Trump’s picks may face in confirmation hearings, Jen Psaki admitting the Democrat Party is leaderless, athletes celebrating with the Trump dance, and more.  

 “[The Senate] is not just doing a blank check, like ‘Here, you pick your nominees, and we’re just going to quickly accept them’,” Schlapp observed of the Senate’s unwillingness to readily confirm some of Trump’s picks including Matt Gaetz, Tulsi Gabbard, and Pete Hegseth. 

“How much of this is political and how much of this is personal?” queried O’Connor.
